Ritual games

for mental and relational health

RUNA is a community dedicated to teaching about and playing ritual games.

Ritual games — completely personalized to individuals and small groups — support mental health and inspire more playful and regenerative ways of living and working together

Hi, I’m Zoë!

I’m the Creative Director and Founder of RUNA, where I draw on over a decade of experience in ritual and rites of passage, participatory design, storytelling, theater, and embodiment. I live in Curitiba, Brazil, on the ancestral lands of the Guarani, Kaingang, and Xetá peoples.

Ritual games:

  • Invite simple, natural moments of play for adults

  • Bring the power of our imaginations to all kinds of challenges

  • Reveal hidden beliefs and storylines

  • Make visible the tools, practices, and relationships that support us

How do I book a ritual game?

  • This 30-minute call is a chance to meet each other, learn about ritual games, reflect on how you’d like to play, and share any challenges you're currently navigating.

  • Start the game design process by completing a short form about your local economy and making a meaningful donation to a Black, Indigenous, or People of Color–led organization of your choice. This serves as your “deposit” for the game.

  • Within 1 to 2 weeks of your mini consult, you’ll receive your personalized version of the game, along with a short guidebook and a YouTube tutorial to help you get started.

At this point, the $125 balance or skill exchange agreement (with a lower rate) is due. The exchange includes:

    • Support via text or email for 6 weeks

    • An optional 30-minute live check-in

    • A live closing and integration call

  • You’ll play the game in 5-10 minute daily play sessions and/or in longer sessions a few times a week. I’ll check in via messaging to help it stay fun, purposeful, and doable. You have the option to book another 30-minute session halfway through.

  • At the end of the game, we'll have a 60-minute live session where we'll wrap up the game in a playful way and reflect on what you learned.

“Building a ritual with Zoë was incredibly transformative. I left feeling so much more centered and grounded than when I began.”

“Ritual grew up in sacred play; poetry was born in play and nourished on play; music and dancing were pure play. We have to conclude, therefore, that civilization in its earliest phases, played.”
